Sanda Adapted Upper Secondary School is part of Sandagymnasiet. The school has a clear sports profile where Sanda Sports Center is part of the operations. Approximately 1200 students attend the school, and there are about 200 staff members in the organization. Your new job

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a teaching assistant with us. You will work with students in an adapted upper secondary school, as well as in short-term supervision or leisure activities before and after school. The goal of the teaching assistant's role is to increase the individual's independence. Your task is to create good conditions for the student's development and learning through pedagogical and social support, as well as to provide safety and structure in everyday life. Through your work, you contribute to the students' well-being and their ability to benefit from the school's education. The work also involves planning, implementing, and evaluating the pedagogical work at the workplace together with educators and other staff. You will help achieve the goals in the curriculum and the Education Act, and perform your tasks in such a way that the goals and guidelines for the operations are met.

Your qualifications

You have a high school diploma. A post-secondary education in the area of disabilities/Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have experience working with students who need special support and a strong interest and commitment to the work. Experience in making adjustments for individual students and working with children/youth with support needs is also valuable. Work experience in settings for children/youth within Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is considered meritorious.

As a person, you are an engaged teaching assistant who is curious, open, and works well in collaboration with students and colleagues. You are accustomed to structuring to stimulate and develop students toward set goals and recognize the student's needs, making adjustments where necessary. You have good collaboration skills, responsibility, a welcoming demeanor, and sensitivity to students' needs.

We place great importance on personal qualities and suitability. Good computer skills and the ability to process information digitally are required. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience in in-print is also welcome. A driver's license for manual driving is required, as well as the ability to drive a minibus.
